tariff war and incumbent
Tiktok ban. Meanwhile, the government is also planning to implement new measures to crack down on allegations of foreign interference following the 2023 Hogue commission --- you might recall that the CCF sent an

 | Dr. Maurice McGregor (1920-2025) Canada-China Focus is saddened to learn that Dr. Maurice McGregor passed away peacefully at his family home in Montreal recently at the age of 105. Maurice was a longtime friend of China and supporter of Canada-China Focus. A cardiologist at McGill medical school in 1961, he was on hand at the affiliated Royal Victoria Hospital when the Beijing Opera Company stopped by and offered to put on an impromptu performance in memory of Norman Bethune. Not long after, McGill and the then Peking Medical School established a medical exchange program. In 1973, Maurice and his lifelong partner, Dr. Margot Becklake, an epidemiologist at McGill, were chosen to go to China on this medical exchange. In China for a month, they toured China, learned about Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, offered
lectures, and met and befriended longtime China resident
physician, Dr. George Hatem (马海德). Maurice McGregor was a generous and staunch support of Canada-China Focus since its inception, even attending the latest CCF peace webinar a few days before his death. He will be missed. His is obituary is available
